We’re a family-owned and family-run business based in Georgia, proudly designing, making, and shipping every item in the USA.

For more than 8 years, we’ve been creating custom products that turn photos, memories, and special moments into gifts people can treasure.

We started as a brick-and-mortar business and opened our Amazon store in 2022. Since then, we’ve created and shipped more than 25,000 custom gifts, growing our business year after year.

We’ve remained family-owned throughout that growth, because we believe there’s something special about knowing the people behind the products you purchase.

How We Got Here

Teaching was my original profession, and I officially “retired” from the classroom to pursue this business full time. Leaving teaching gave me the opportunity to turn something I had always loved—creating—into my full-time work.

Today, I spend my days developing new products, creating designs, and finding new ways to personalize them. I love seeing an idea come to life as a finished product, especially when I know that product will become part of someone’s memories for years to come.

Our journey began with custom T-shirts and athletic jerseys. As we grew, we expanded into sublimation printing and a much broader range of personalized products.

My husband brought a different kind of experience to the business. He served as a Director of Operations for one of the Big Names in the custom-products industry, where he gained extensive experience in manufacturing, quality, production, and operational excellence.

That experience became an important part of how we built Custom Mate.

We’ve taken the processes and quality standards used in larger manufacturing operations and applied them to our own business. At the same time, we’ve kept the personal involvement that can be lost as companies get bigger.

We’re a family of five—two boys in college and a daughter in high school—along with three Boxers who are always happy to supervise.
